First I was called Nando but then it turned into Nano. My family and friends still use that name.
14. What about pets?
None because I wouldn't have time to take care of them
15. Your strongest subject at school?
Maths, physics and chemistry... I loved them all!
16. What did you hate at school?
I didn't like Latin. Or music lessons because I didn't play any instrument
17. In which sport you were good at?
I always enjoyied football but it doesn't mean I was good at it. I always ended up to be the goalkeeper. So I suppose that means I wasn't that great at playing in other positions *laughs*
18. What languages do you speak?
Spanish, Italian, English and a bit French
19. Where do you live at the moment and why?
I live in Oxford because it's not far away from our team's base and I can visit there everyday. It's good to live abroad. I can keep my privacy better in England than in Spain.
20. How many hours do you sleep at night?
Around 8 hours
21. How many hours do you exercise every day?
Normally 5-6 hours. I spend three hours at gym and then I also run, play tennis and cycle as much. That's because I don't have anything better to do. I prefer exercising instead of sitting at home doing nothing.
22. Which hobby you enjoy the most?
Tennis and cycling
23. Do you have other hobbies beside sports?
I go to movies pretty often and play on computer a bit

Pasta
25. Food which you dislike the most?
Fish foods, I can't stand them

Not really

Water and fruit juices

All drinks with alcohol, they taste so bad

I like pretty all music except classical

I watch all kind of movies but my fave ones are horror and triller movies

Not at least car racing! I watch other sports pretty much, mainly football, tennis and cycling. I never watch car races.

George Simenon's 'Maigret makes a mistake' [poor translation, I know]

Science

I'm not into shopping that much but I collect watches

At the North Pole. That could be an interesting experience

Montreal. Although, I prefer countryside over cities

I can't name just one. I don't like any big cities
43. Where do you relax the best?
At the mountains when I'm alone and just listening the birds singing. Then I feel that I'm far away from the rest of the world

I'm not religious

Not really. Normally I put my left glove and shoe before the right one but sometimes I forget

All kind of girls, but I prefer the combination dark hair & brown eyes

There's too many. Nah just kidding. I'm happy with my girlfriend

Blue
49. How did you get into motor racing?
My dad was a fan and raced a bit himself. I got hooked already when I was 3
50. When did you get your drivers license?
At the age of 18

Renault Megane. I got it with my license

Renault Clio V6

Maybe Ferrari Enzo
54. The first car race you saw?
Dad's race when I was just a baby. No wonder why I don't remember anything about it

Microcar race in Ovideo when I was 5

During the same year I started
57. When did you become a professional?
When I started in Formula 3000 in 2000
58. Your most memorable race?
Hungary GP last year, when I won. But as strong memories I got from Malaysian GP when I took my first pole and from Spain GP when I achieved the 2nd place in my home race.
59. Who has affected on your career the most?
My dad
60. Who is the F1 driver with whom you get along the best?
My teammates Jarno Trulli and Franck Montagny but also Mark Webber and Juan Pablo Montoya
61. Your relationship with your teammate?
Very good. We meet sometimes outside of F1 as well. We trust each other and that's the main thing
62. Can teammates be friends?
I don't think so. I think it's impossible because he's your worst enemy anyway
63. The best driver at the moment?
The results say that it's Michael Schumacher
64. Your idol?
I followed Ayrton Senna's career but I wouldn't call him as my hero. I wasn't any happier and sader if Ayrton won or lost

I think it's Ayrton Senna
66. Favourite circuit?
Spa-Francorchamps. A long circuit. All kind of corners - slow ones, normal ones, very quick ones, downwards and upwards. It's wonderful to drive that circuit! It's perfect!
67. Circuit which you don't like?
Interlagos. It's too jumpy and it makes the driver suffer
68. The best thing in your current team?
Team spirit
69. If you could drive Ferrari would you beat Michael Schumacher?
I hope so and I would do my best. Although my aim is to beat Michael with Renault
70. Your aim on this season?
Achieve more points than last year and also win more races.
71. Your aim as a driver?
Worldchampion title, of course
72. The best thing in your job?
To drive the fastest cars in the world
73. The worst thing?
Technical problems
74. The most awful experience on track?
I have been lucky and I haven't crashed many times. The accident at Interlagos has stuck into my mind but everything happened so quickly that I didn't even have time to get scared
75. The best thing which has happened to you?
I was born in an amazing family and I can do what I love the most
76. The worst thing which has happened to you?
There hasn't been anything awful so far
77. The most embarrassing moment in your life?
I can't remember. Even if I could, I wouldn't tell you
78. The best thing in your life?
Beside winning the races? Freetime with my friends when we were at school still
79. What do you respect in life the most?
My parents and the king of Spain
80. What makes you angry?
Unrespectful behaviour
81. Your opinion of fans?
If there weren't fans there wouldn't be us either. That tells all
82. Your opinion of reporters?
Important part of Formula 1. At least I can say of Spanish reporters that they might think you are the greatest driver now but then they call you loser on the next day. It's pretty difficult sometimes to explain my friends what and why there has been some articles of me in the newspapers.

They're less dangerous if you don't do anything stupid

Nope
85. Where are you good at except driving?
Cooking, I like it very much!
86. Are you a good lover?
Woah, what a question. I hope so! I do my best!
87. Do you have secrets?
Always. At the moment it's my next trip where I'm going. Only my girlfriend knows it
88. What would you like to happen tomorrow?
Difficult to say, I'd like that people wouldn't harm the ozone layer any more and risk the future of Earth. That's not our concern and probably not our children's either but next generation's for sure!
89. What would you never do?
I dunno... I probably wouldn't kill, I don't think I could do that
90. The most important thing in life?
To be happy and satisfield to yourself and your life. Many of us got a family and lots of money but they still keep complaining | |
